The studio site: GSAP, Three.js and a dark forge aesthetic
Overview
A studio site has to demonstrate capability rather than describe it. This one leans on Three.js scenes and GSAP scroll choreography, because for this audience the site is the strongest sample of work I can put in front of them.
It is the opposite of my personal site by design. This portfolio is quiet, typographic and restrained. The studio site is dark, dense and cinematic. Knowing which register a project wants is the skill worth having.

Engineering
The decisions that mattered.
- 01
3D that degrades gracefully
Three.js scenes respect device capability and reduced-motion preferences, falling back to static compositions instead of dropping frames on mid-range hardware.
- 02
Scroll choreography without jank
GSAP timelines bind to scroll using transform-only animation, which keeps the main thread clear of layout thrash.
Design decisions
Why it looks and behaves the way it does.
I designed this as well as built it. These are the interface calls I made and the reasoning behind each one.
Heavy for a reason
The dark, dense treatment is a positioning decision. Clients hiring for a big build want to see appetite for one, and a minimal studio site would undersell what the team can do.
Motion earns attention, then stops
The hero is cinematic. Service and pricing pages are calm and scannable. Sustaining spectacle through a pricing table would just get in the way of the number someone came to read.
Outcomes
What shipped.
- Doubles as the studio's strongest work sample
- 3D and motion degrade cleanly on low-capability devices
- Respects reduced-motion preferences throughout
